Shawn Gary Carter, age 49, passed away on June 30, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 21, 1963 to Gary Arnold Carter and Linda Fern Thomas.

Shawn was a wonderful father, grandpa, son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his sweet grand baby Harley Jayde. He loved to go camping, four wheeling, traveling, going to concerts and working on his truck. He had many friends and family and he would drop everything to help anyone. Shawn worked hard and was the most amazing and caring person. He was loved by so many people and our lives will never be the same without him. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Survived by his parents Gary (Bonnie) Carter, Linda Thomas, 3 daughters, Kylie Carter, Lacey Carter and Shantel Carter (Coleman Stevens), granddaughter Harley Jayde Stevens, sisters, Chris Carter, Kim (Steve) Muir, Karrie (Steve) Green, brother Greg (Jan) Carter and many nieces and nephews. He had many coworkers and friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. till time of service at the Mortuary. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Online guest book at wingmortuary. com.
