Alice Mary Peterson Webb came to live on this earth May 16, 1927. Alice was born to Verda & LeRoy Peterson in Lehi, Utah. She would live in the same house until she married B. Richard Webb, after he served our country, in the Navy, during World War Two. The cheerful couple was married October 31,1946 (Nothing spooky about this date…The Temple simply was not going to be open on their originally planned date) in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Temple, Salt Lake City location. After which they began a family and had five in all, Michael, Janet, Carol, Chery and Lori.

Alice grew up on a working farm and worked alongside her father, sisters and kid brother. Horses were her love and her fondness. The way she handled these magnificent animals and the way she rode them wasn't left unnoticed by her father, LeRoy. Some how she ended up with her own horse and began riding in local rodeos and began winning! Alice was Lehi's Rodeo Queen three times and Pleasant Groves attendant twice. Bragging rights for sure! Hard work with long hours in the field was not all that was known to her. She learned to bake, cook and sew from her mom, Verda. And in her day, she could make a delicious meal, bake a heartwarming pie and clean it all up without breaking a sweat and in the meantime, hem a dress or sew lace or put other creative embellishment, for just the right touch.

As a family water sport were enjoyed. We all loved swimming, water skiing or a picnic on the beach. Alice always found a reason not to join, she always came with, but she would say that making lunch was keeping her busy or she had to do some other tasks. Well, the truth finally came out one day that she was never taught to swim OR was it that she didn't want to get her one-of-a-kind beehive hairdo wet?

As Alice reached a time in her life when her responsibilities were lighter, she started taking oil painting classes. And like everything else she set out to do, it was done with grace, elegance and style. Her largest work of art was a 9' x 15' mural that was done to scale over a staircase. The painting consisted of beautiful pines, golden aspen and snowcapped majestic mountains as the backdrop, with a stream in the for-front of the artwork. The smallest piece of art that she created was done on a seashell, also beautiful.

Alice enjoyed 14 grandchildren, too many to count great grandchildren and even a few great great  grandchildren.

Close your eyes now sweet mommy & rest, for you've been at this thing called LIFE for 35,382 days. I think you've earned it!

We, as a family, wish to thank River Meadows for the loving manor in which our mother was cared for by all of you. This was done with love, and always maintained dignity towards her.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East.
