Alicia Ann Starkey, age 41 passed away suddenly February 25th 2021 of complications from cancer. She was born July 3rd 1979 in Los Gatos California to Gerald Lee Starkey and Susan Nadine Starkey. She married her best friend Jason Alexander Butts on July 1st 2010.
Alicia had a love for the outdoors. She often told her children of the trips she would take with her family to the beach and to Yellowstone which was one of her fondest memories.
She loved interacting with people. She enjoyed her job as an assistant manager at Murphy's oil where she was able to meet and bring smiles to many customers and coworkers.
Alicia had a love for old 50's pinup girl art, Salvador Dali, and MC Escher art.
If you hung around her you would find out that she loved Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, and most of all Jonny Cash. She would frequently go to live concerts which she loved.
Alicia was a light spirited woman who loved to dance and just have fun. One of the important things that she found joy in was working with kids, Miss Alicia they would call her I never met one child that didn't just adore her.
In the last part of her life, she focused on being a wife, mother and enjoying the most amazing relationships with her siblings and most importantly her loving parents.
Alicia was born a life giver, miracle creator, and magic maker. She had a heart of a thousand mothers, fearless and sweet. She was a warrior with an immeasurable soul that reached out past infinity. She was born with the desire and passion to name her own destiny. From the lives she touched to the one she created Alicia will be remembered as the kindest, most inclusive, loving person and friend. Heaven just received a most precious angel.
Alicia is survived by her husband, best friend and soul mate who adored everything about her and was blessed to have spent the time he did with her, her loving and incredibly strong father Gerald Lee Starkey, her six children, Scarlett, Preston, Abigail, Tanner, Braxton, and Stephanie, brothers: Zach, Josh, Garrett, sisters: Megan, Jenesy, and Anneke, 11 nieces, 14 nephews and grandfather Odell Starkey.
Finally, she was reunited with her amazing and loving mother Susan Nadine Starkey in heaven.
The viewing will be held Tuesday March 2nd from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary on 118 East Main Street, Lehi, Utah, 84043.
A second viewing and funeral services will be held Wednesday March 3rd at the same location from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the graveside dedication at the Pony Express Memorial Cemetery on 4648 North Eagle Mountain Blvd, Eagle Mountain, Utah, 84005.
