In Loving Memory of Annette “Nettie”It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Annette “Nettie” Ashton, who passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026 at the age of 63, surrounded by her family.

Nettie had a heart of gold and was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. She gave freely of herself, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer comfort, or simply be there when someone needed her. Her kindness touched countless lives, often in ways she may never have realized.

One of Nettie’s greatest joys was caring for children. She had a natural gift for making them feel safe, loved, and cared for. The love she gave so freely will remain a lasting part of the lives of the many children she touched.

Above all, Nettie was a loving mother. Her greatest love was her son, Gentry. He was the love and Joy of her life, and she was so incredibly proud of him. Gentry was an angel to his mother, bringing her love, joy, and countless reasons to smile throughout her life. Their bond was truly special, and the love they shared will remain with him forever.

Nettie is survived by her parents, Dale and Deanne Ashton; her beloved son, Gentry; her siblings, Corrie and Sarah Ashton, Tiffany and Lance Seifert, Danielle and Josh Healy, Andy and Brooklann Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and her boyfriend, Topher Acree, West Jordan who loved her and Gentry very much. Offering support, kindness and a great friend for Gentry. Also many dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Nettie was preceded in death by her brother, Dayton Ashton of Lehi; her grandparents, Carl and Eva Ashton of Lehi; Gwen Engvall of Price; and Wendell Peterson of Salt Lake City.

We find comfort in knowing that Nettie is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who passed before her.

Nettie’s absence leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, but her family and friends will forever carry the warmth of her heart, her generosity, her laughter, and the countless acts of kindness she shared so freely.

Her legacy of love, compassion, and caring will live on through everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Rest peacefully, Nettie. Your beautiful heart, your kindness, and your love will never be forgotten. You were deeply loved, and you will be missed more than words can say. 🕊️🤍

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life honoring Nettie will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 1-3 PM at the 19th Ward Chapel in Lehi.

Address: 150 East 1500 North, Lehi, Utah.

Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Nettie’s life, share memories, and honor the love and kindness she brought to so many.

In Lieu of FlowersIn lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a fund established to support Nettie’s beloved son, Gentry, as he navigates life without his mother. Contributions will help with funeral and burial expenses as well as his immediate and future needs.
