Annette Ahlstrom Young, 89 years old passed away of October 22, 2024 on her 89th birthday surrounded by her family. Annette was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Annette was born October 22, 1935 in Delta, UT to Reno Lava Ahlstrom and Itha Steele Ahlstrom. She was the oldest of 4 children. Her brother Lavar Steele Ahlstrom preceded her in death, living siblings, Vaughn Lee Ahlstrom/Roberta Ahlstrom, and Phyllis Ahlstrom Barainca/Tori Barainca.
Annette graduated from Utah Valley Vocational School with an Associate degree in Nursing in 1955. She married Sydney Gilchrist Young in the Salt Lake Temple October 7th, 1955. Annette was a mother to 6 children; John Michael Young/ Kimberly Dillon Young, David Lavar Young/Rona Parry Young, Edmund Dow Young/Jana Higham Young, Karl Ahlstrom Young/Tracy White Young, Colleen Young Stilwell (decreased) and Miriam Young Goodwin. She has 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Annette loved being a nurse and took great care of many patients. She prided herself that was awarded Nurse of the Month at Intermountain America Fork Hospital. She loved being a mother, grandmother and especially a great grandmother to these precious children. Annette loved to sew, read, garden, genealogy and spend time with her family.
Annette was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in many church calling over her lifetime. She loved serving in the community. She was a Daughter of the Utah Pioneers.
The family will be receiving friends, Monday October 28th, 2024 from 6-8 and Tuesday October 29,2024 at 9am at the Wing Mortuary 118 East Main Lehi, UT. Her funeral will be Tuesday October 29th, 2024 at 10 am at the Wing Mortuary. Burial is in Lehi cemetery following the service.
