Antonio (Anthony), 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep early in the morning of December 22, 2021. He went to be with his three brothers Giovanni (John), Giuseppe (Jose) and Miguel, who were waiting to greet him along with his mom (Antonia) and father (Salvatore) , and many other friends & relatives.

Anthony was born on November 30, 1938, in Avellino, Italy, and grew up there.

At age 9, his father and two brothers traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina to create a better income and life for the family after the 2 ^nd World War. Anthony was left at home to care for his three sisters, Rosa, Palmira, and Michaelina. Anthony continued to watch after and care for his sisters until he was sidelined by a stroke in April of 2019.

In 1952, Anthony, his mother, and three sisters traveled to join their father and brothers in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tony went to school and became a tailor in Argentina. He always loved to dress nice and he created handsome suits for men and beautiful dresses for his granddaughters. Those that know Tony know that he could do anything that involved hands on work. He could fix construction equipment, cars, and appliances. He also was a machinist and he was great at construction and excelled in tile and cement work. Once while working at Temple Square with a jackhammer, he was asked to pause for a moment so the prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints could complete an interview.

Anthony met the love of his life, Margarita in Argentina and they were married Jan. 17, 1964. Anthony first saw her when she was the princess on a parade float. They dated for five years

Anthony and his family moved to Glen Cove, Long Island, New York in 1964, just 3 weeks before their first daughter Claudia was born. Children Al and Eli came later in New York. Anthony moved back to Argentina in 1976 to own and run a business with his brother Giuseppe. Being in Argentina allowed Anthony to love the people and serve as Bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ. Tony lived in many places including Italy, Argentina, New York, Florida and Utah.

Anthony served in many callings and assignments in The Church of Jesus Christ. He loved the people and there would be a line of people after the meetings to give him a hug and to talk to him.

Anthony was blessed with 3 children: Claudia Sanders, Alfredo (Al) Berlangieri, and Elizabeth (Liz) Day.

He has 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Anthony definitely left his mark on the world and will be missed. He loved God and he loved people. He was always willing to serve at home, at work and in the Church of Jesus Christ.
