Obituary

Betsy Wagner our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away on September 10, 2023, at her home in American Fork. Betsy was born November 3, 1930, to Reed Howard and Arsena Robinson in American Fork Utah. She was the youngest of 7 children. Betsy was raised and lived in American Fork. She graduated from American Fork High school in 1949 where she a cheerleader and played trumpet in the band. She later attended BYU.

While working at the Tooele Army Depot she met her sweetheart Carl Jack Wagner who was stationed there in the Army and they were married December 4, 1953, in American Fork, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple.

Betsy owned and operated the concession stand and snack bar at the Timpanogos Cave National Monument for 60 years. She also was the owner of the Ice Cream Shop on Main Street in American Fork.  She also ran a wedding catering business for 15 years,  and her sweetheart Carl helped and supported all her endeavors.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings through the years and had a beautiful testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ.
Her passion was for genealogy and researching her and Carl's family tree. Because of her love of family history and research she was able to add over 4,000 names to our family tree. She loved to attend the temple and do work for many names that she submitted.

She is survived by her children: Carlene (Vern) Carson, Scott (Susan) Wagner, Craig (Debbie) Wagner, Michael (Kenna) Wagner, SheRie (Greg) Leishman, Shannon (Lindsay) Oswald, Kurt (Lisa) Wagner, Ryan Wagner (Charlene Holmes), 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl "Jack" Wagner, parents, four brothers and two sisters.
