After a long life of 100 years and eight months, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, Bette Jean Facer Gleim, has gone on to her next life. She passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at home, where many who loved her had visited shortly before.

Bette was born on June 4, 1925 in Tyhee, Idaho, where she grew up on a ranch with her parents and two brothers. After her mother passed away when Bette was 17, and graduating high school, she went to Pocatello to work at the Western Union office. That's where she met and married her boss, our dad, Richard Gleim. The two sweethearts married in Idaho Falls in 1945. They became the parents of three children; Richard (Margarita) Gleim, Sherry (Howard) Collings, and Larry (Lori Kaye) Gleim.

In the early years the family lived in Idaho, Wyoming, California, and finally Nevada, where they raised their family in Sun Valley (just outside of Reno). These moves were made to accommodate work opportunities. Later, Bette and Dick settled in Lehi, Utah, where they stayed until Bette moved to Lindon to live with Sherry and Howard. This was a few years after the passing of our dad, Richard Gleim in 2013.

Bette was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life. She served in many callings, always willing and very capable. She was instrumental in keeping the family faithful, so that we could become a "forever family". We were sealed in the Oakland California Temple in 1966.

She was a career woman for many years, but always first, a loving, attentive, mother and grandmother. She has been blessed with 13 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren!

Bette and Dick lived in their Lehi neighborhood for nearly 40 years and made lifelong friendships. They were loved there and they appreciated all the love neighbors shared with them.

Bette has always been known for her kindness, her quiet service for others, and her calm demeanor. She served as a temple worker in the Mount Timpanogos Temple for many years, a service she loved doing. She was active and creative. Gardening, sewing, crocheting, crafts, cooking, and preserving food; all achievements she excelled in. She and Dick loved square dancing with the "Mavericks" Square Dance Club for many years, where they danced locally and in many other states.

She will be missed; she has been the matriarch of the family, having lost both her brothers in recent years. But she is loved and remembered as mother, grandma, aunt, sister, friend to so many. We are thankful for the lovely example of goodness she has been to all.

Services will be held at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main St., Lehi, Utah, on Saturday, February 21, 2026. A viewing will be from 10:00am-10:45am followed by funeral services at 11:00am. Interment will be at the Lehi City Cemetery.
