Beverly Jeanne Knight Tuttle

1933-2025

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away on Christmas Day 2025.

Beverly Jeanne Knight was born to Julius Henry and Vivian Anna Snyder Knight in New Plymouth, Idaho on April 8, 1933, the "kid sister" born 12 years after her brother Albert Elwin ("Bud") Knight and 8 years after her sister Dorothy Elaine Knight Strohbehn.

Beverly was a talented musician, performing voice and piano solos as well as singing in and accompanying choirs of many varieties. She was also an accomplished but modest artist, and painted many beautiful landscapes, many of which were discovered in a box in her closet after her passing.

She was a devoted wife to Gene Ward Tuttle, whom she married in Culver City, California on August 22, 1953. She was a wonderful mom to their three children, Lori (Chris) Hooke, Susan (Kim) Davies, and Dave (Rauna) Tuttle, and a kind and fun grandma to their 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She loved her family dearly, and was extremely proud of each one.

Gene and Beverly found deep meaning in their conversion to and activity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were baptized with all three of their children on December 2, 1967, and on March 20, 1970, they were sealed as an eternal family in the Oakland California Temple. They both served in the church in various callings, including in their later years a local service mission in Boise at the Bishop's Storehouse, where they helped people in need. Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with their children is perhaps the most important legacy they leave for their posterity. Beverly will be remembered for her deep faith in God, her undying devotion to Gene during their 71 years of marriage, her profound love of family, her fleece "Grandma Blankets," her hand-painted Christmas ornaments and other crafts, her unique and witty sense of humor, and her pleasure in making others happy.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, both of her siblings and their spouses, and in February of 2025, her husband Gene.

The family would like to thank all the support given to us from Active Hospice, especially Beverly's nurse Laura; aides Stacey, Olivia, and Alyssa ; social worker Rhonda; and chaplain Tiffany. Their expertise, tender care, and sweet upbeat attitudes made a difficult time much more bearable.

A celebration of Beverly's life was held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 for her family and friends in Lehi, Utah, and an additional service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00am at the Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St. in Boise, Idaho. The interment will follow at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4255 E. Fairview Avenue in Meridian. In Beverly's memory, the family suggests a donation to a favorite charity.
