Billie Jean Davis Myers Hawkins was born on June 25th, 1925, in Terre Haute Indiana to John and Murial Davis. She was their first and only child born late in their lives after 19 years of marriage. Billie was raised in and around Pekin, Illinois until her parents moved to Long Beach California when she was 14 years old.

Billie was introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ by a school mate at age 15 and it changed her life. Billie met her future husband at an M.I.A. dance at age 15 shortly after attending the L.D.S. Church for only a few months. They married shortly after he was called to serve overseas during WWII as a Flight Engineer on a B-25 Bomber.

Being an only child of older parents was lonely and Billie was determined to have a big family as soon as possible. Before her 21st birthday she had all four of her children within 2 years 9 months with a set of twins. The four children were her and Dad's pride and joy, their reason for living. Billie was a dedicated stay at home mom as they grew up.

When all the children were in high school, she made the decision to help out financially by getting a job. Billie hired on as a bus driver for the Linkletter Dance Studios and after a short period Billie ended up the manager of both studios.

In 1963 Billie quit the Linkletter Studios realizing her potential and returned to school. After college she taught fashion at three city colleges in the Los Angeles area. At the age of 37 Billie was doing professional fashion modeling and about the same time becoming a grandmother.

In 1967 war again affected Billie's life by her three sons being drafted into the Vietnam War.

Billie proceeded to become part owner of a modeling school for 7 years and for approximately 20 years continued as a model, fashion coordinator, and commentator all over the Los Angeles area.

At age 54 Billie and her husband Bob were called to serve a full-time mission in Nauvoo Illinois.

After that wonderful mission experience, they moved to Simi Valley California where Billie embarked on a new career of selling real estate. She excelled in this field also and with her L.D.S. sales partner became top sellers in her office, and they did this by never working on Sundays.

Her beloved husband passed away in 1992 ending a happy marriage that lasted just a few months under 50 years.

In 1998 Billie met Jack Hawkins, who she described as a handsome silver haired British widower. They were soon married, and Billie became a bride again at the age of 73. They lived a wonderful life splitting their time between here and Gosport England and traveling Europe. They also enjoyed serving in various Temples during this period.

In about 2003 Jack developed Alzheimer's and in 2007 his children returned him to England as the disease progressed and he passed away soon after.

Billie loved living 17 years in her house, in her little Lake Shore community of loving and caring neighbors in Saratoga Springs, she called it heaven on earth.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 7, 2023, at the Saratoga Springs Stake Center 587 South Saratoga Road Saratoga Springs, Utah at 11:00 am. A Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment Westminster Memorial Park Cemetery in Westminster, California.
