Blake Jacobson tragically passed away on Saturday October 15th, at the age of 20. Blake was born in Orem on July 1st, 2002, to his parents Brad and Amy. He was the younger brother to his only sibling Hayden. Blake had spent his whole life growing up and living in Lehi. He attended school at Sego Lilly Elementary, Lehi Junior High, and graduated from Skyridge High School in 2020.

Blake had so many talents and interests. At an early age Blake participated in many different sports. He played baseball, football, basketball, wrestled, and later played tennis. He was usually the smallest kid on any of his sports team, but he never let that stop him from performing at such a high level. His talented sports career made many great memories for his family, friends, and teammates. What he did on the field was special, but it was also his friendships and support to teammates and coaches off the field that have provided many lasting relationships. Because there was only a one school year difference in age between Blake and Hayden, they were able to participate in many sports teams together which was very special.

When Blake started getting older, his body was not growing bigger like the other boys which made it challenging for him to continue sports. Blake then turned his talents and abilities to other things. Blake was the ultimate outdoorsman and loved all types of activities in that element. He loved camping, hiking, rock climbing, repelling, and bouldering. He loved to hunt and fish. Starting at age 12, he harvested his first deer and has almost gotten one every year since. He went on so many adventures and recently went to South Africa on a hunting trip where he was in his perfect element. There was fear that he may not come home from South Africa because the outfitter he stayed with wanted him to stay and work there. Recently he went on a fishing trip to Oregon with his dad, brother, and grandfather which turned out to be a great success for him. He caught salmon, halibut, rock fish, and Dungeness crabs. He recently completed a successful muzzleloader hunt and harvested a nice deer with the help of his friend Dan.

Blake had this great ability to make friends. His personality and love for people made it so easy for him to become friends with about anybody. It didn't matter the age, the background, or what they were into, Blake would find common interests and create that bond. He and his friends shared so many interests, and they were constantly sharing many adventures. They would go snowboarding, golfing, bowling, concerts, camping, and do fires up the canyon. They would go on trips to many places like Joe's Valley, Little Moab, Panguitch, Moab, Strawberry, and St. George. Just out of high school he had plans to go on trip from Alaska down to Chille in a van that he and his friend Dallin had purchased. That adventure was cut short when the van broke down in Spanish Fork.

Blake was constantly helping friends and family with many needs. Whether it was doing an oil change, replacing battery or brakes, or welding something, he was always looking for opportunities to help others. Recently he had helped his friend Trev with a roof mounted tent for his truck that required custom cutting and welding in order to install it. This project would be challenging to most, but Blake would find a way to accomplish it.

Blake became a constant support to his family. When Blake was younger, he and his older brother Hayden fought like cats and dogs. Their relationship would eventually change, and they would become best friends. They formed an impeccable bond, and they had each other's back and would do anything for each other. There was a time when Blake had to sub in for Hayden on a girl's choice dance because Hayden had gotten sick the day of and could not attend. Blake stepped in, and the joke was that the girl probably had more fun with Blake anyways. Blake had a special bond with his mother Amy. They would communicate every day, and he became a huge support in her life. He had a calming effect that would provide much comfort to her. Blake also found time to create a special bond with his father. He became his dad's favorite fishing and hunting buddy. They would do many other activities together like golf and scuba diving. Blake would make time to share experiences with his grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. He was able to so many things with his extended family. So many travel experiences, camping, fishing and hunting trips, activities, and birthdays involved many of his extended family, and these experiences will be cherished forever.

Blake also created special relationships with those he worked with at Cascade Collision. He was very close with the owner, his managers, and coworkers. They were like a second family to him, and he valued those relationships so much. Their friendships grew outside of work, and he found himself spending time and hanging out with them constantly. He loved spending time with them at either their homes, on the golf course, or hunting with them. A huge hole with be felt in their organization, and he will be missed.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS church located at 150 East 1500 North in Lehi, on Friday, October 21st, at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing on Thursday, October 20th, at Wing Mortuary, located at 118 East Main Street in Lehi, between 6:00-8:00 pm. There will be a short viewing period before the funeral at 10:00 am. Graveside services will be at the Lehi cemetery following the funeral, and there will be a luncheon provided at the same church of the funeral following those services.

Blake, you have touched so many lives, and you will be missed by so many people. We love you so much, and we know you are in good hands. We hope we will continue to have your in spirit in our lives.
