Bonnie Louise
Joseph Bond
Apr 16, 1926 — Apr 25, 2022
Bonnie Louise Joseph Bond, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2022 in Wylie, Texas. She was born April 16, 1926 to John Franklin Joseph and Anna Geneva Anderson in Beaver, Utah. Bonnie attended Beaver High School where she enjoyed playing the flute and piccolo in band. She was active in several organizations and had many friends.
She spent 2 years at San Mateo Junior College and met her husband but graduated from The University of Utah where she studied piano and education.
She married Arthur Edwin Bond on July 1, 1950 in Hillsborough, CA. They had 2 children, Zachary Bruce Bond and Nancy Carol Bond (Harris.) After nearly 65 years of marriage Bonnie became a widow in 2015.
Bonnie and Art raised their children in Cloverdale, California, where Arthur was in the lumber business. Following their children's high school graduations they moved to Santa Rosa and then San Francisco as owners of Western Wildlife Gallery for many years.
Bonnie loved people and had a ready smile for everyone she met and made friends easily. She was always busy playing the piano in church and for family and friends. She also loved following sports, walking, reading, traveling and playing tennis. She dearly loved her black labrador, Storm. In her later years she was never far from a book of crossword puzzles.
Bonnie was an excellent singer and spent 29 years as a member of the Santa Rosa Sweet Adelines barbershop chorus.
After retiring, Bonnie and Art moved to Boerne, TX to be near children and grandchildren. This was followed by several years in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
She was especially close to her 3 sisters, all of whom preceded her in death: Helen (Ruh), Elaine (Cullen) and Ruth Joseph. She leaves behind her 2 children, 7 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members, whom she adored.
After Arthur joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 77, they were sealed in the Texas San Antonio temple for time and all eternity.
Bonnie will be interred next to her husband in the Pleasant Grove (Utah) Cemetery. A memorial will be held in June.
