Boyd, our loving husband, dad, grandfather, and uncle, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on April 3, 2025 at the age of 89, surrounded by family.

He was born on September 22, 1935, in Park City, Utah, to Alfred James Winn and Grace McNaughton Winn. Boyd was raised in Lindon/Pleasant Grove, attended Pleasant Grove High, and graduated from Utah Trade Technical Institute. He proudly served his country in the National Guard and US Army after the Korean Conflict.

Boyd retired from Kennecott after 31 years of service as a heavy equipment operator but decided he wasn't quite ready to quit working. He then worked for Alpine School District for 21 years, where he made lifetime friendships. Boyd had many hobbies and trades; he took great pride and blessed many lives in using his talent making ornamental iron.

Boyd married Catherine Mae Conder on September 22, 1961, in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. They are the parents of five children: Scott, Jim, Kelly, Katie, and Clint. They currently have 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and multiple great-great-grandchildren.

Boyd was a devoted husband, brother, father, and was the "hero" role model to his grandchildren. He was a man of integrity, hard work, and had a heart of gold. He loved the outdoors, horses, dogs, anything chocolate, and spending time with family. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a quiet yet strong testimony of the gospel and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his younger sister Lue Ann Winn Fordham, sons Scott O. Winn and Clinton B. Winn. He is survived by his wife, Catherine, and children: James O. Winn (Jamie), Kelly D. Winn (Suzanne), and Kathleen McClellan (Patrick).

Boyd's humor and teasing will be missed by all who knew him. To his family and friends, Boyd was the perfect example of enduring patiently to the end. "This is where the cowboy rides away." Till we meet again, we love and miss you.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 9th from 10:00am-11:30am at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 9th, at 12:00 noon in the Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East, with military honors.
