Obituary

Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend unexpectedly passed away on July 6th. She was born to Raymond and Merna Haws on September 17th 1949, and grew up in Draper. She was the oldest of 5 children.

She graduated from Jordan High School. She married Thomas Peterson on November 22nd, 1968 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had a pre-school for 20+ years that she loved teaching. She was an exceptional seamstress, crafter, artist, cook, piano player and violin player. She loved being with her family, friends and her grandkids were her pride and joy.

The savior was the center of her life. Her famous saying that she would say to her family was "No Empty Chairs". She loved attending the Temple and serving the Lord and many others.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Peterson from Cedar Fort, parents Raymond and Merna Haws Sandy, brother Steve (Marina) Haws Erta, sister Sherrie Lamoreaux Sandy, children Trissa (Dusty) Swank Lehi, Tamara (Monty) Myers Provo, Rebecca (Chris) Chamberlain Spanish Fork, Lucas (Kasie) Peterson Nephi, Malissa (Bryce) Jensen Eagle Mountain, Beth (Dan) Vincent, Eagle Mountain, Jessica Rizzuto, Herriman, grandchildren: Hailey Swank, Cassie Kuck, Kayla Stokes, Elizabeth Myers, Chase Chamberlain, Joshua Chamberlain, Brodee Peterson, Quincy Jensen, Emily Jensen, Jeremy Spradling, Andrew Moody, Danielle Moody, Brooklynn Moody, Harley Rizzuto, Alexandria Rizzuto, great grandchildren, Chasen Kuck, Zander Kuck, proceeded in death by, son Matthew Peterson, sister Janice Haws, brother Shane Haws, brother-in-law Terry Lamoreaux.

There will be a viewing Friday, July 10th from 6-8 in the evening at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Lehi. Graveside service July 11th at 10:00 am. at the Cedar Fort Cemetery, 200 West 200 South.
