Catherine Anne Hinkins Abbott, 72 from American Fork, Utah passed away peacefully with her daughter and niece by her side on August 29, 2020. She was born in Price, Utah to Earl Hinkins and Norma Hinkins Peck on March 22, 1948.

Catherine grew up living in Sunnydale, Utah, Vineyard, Utah, Richfield, Utah and finally living out her years in American Fork, Utah. She graduated from Lehi High School and worked for a time in the lunchroom at American Fork High School. Catherine met and married Melvin Abbott, together they had their daughter Leslie Anne Abbott and later divorced.

Catherine loved her long walks to Tangie's Cafe, her visits there with friends whom she considered her family, along with her close neighbors and friends who were always there for her. She also loved her time at the Senior Center playing Bingo on Fridays and visiting with friends. She loved putting together her puzzles and listening to her music. Catherine loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be missed.

Catherine is survived by her daughter Leslie A. Abbott Montoya, her nephew and niece Richard and Trina Healey, Shannon and Jason Green, her brother Earl Norman (Nona) Hinkins and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her very much. She is preceded in death by her father and mother Earl Hinkins and Norma Hinkins Peck, brother Donald Lee (LuAnn) Hinkins, sister Judith E. Hinkins Larsen, grandparents and great grandparents.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 9:30am till time of service at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah. Funeral service will follow the viewing starting at 11:00am. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
