Clarence Wayne Petersen died peacefully following a short illness, on Feb. 9, 2024. He was 92 years old.
Clarence was born to Conrad and Pearl Petersen on June 3, 1931 in a little farm house in Alpine, Utah.
Clarence graduated from American Fork High School. He married Myrtle Faye Hardman December1962. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple.
Clarence enjoyed breeding, raising and training Arabian Horses, was well known for his beautiful, well tended vegetable and flower gardens. He and Faye enjoyed attending all sporting events and activities for their children and grand-children.
Clarence had many stories to tell and memories to share. He loved to visit with family and friends and even people he met briefly. He never met anyone he didn't like.
Clarence is survived by three children, Joyce (Jack) Webb, Wayne (Cari) Petersen, Scott (Celeste) Petersen, Many Grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even several great, great grand children.
He is preceeded in death by his wife Faye, daughter Barbara Clayburn and son, Gary Petersen and Grandson David Clayburn, His parents, Pearl and Conrad Petersen, and step-mother Zella Myers, and his siblings sister Luana Smith, Brothers Lewis, LeGrand, Elwood, and Charles Petersen.
The Family would like to personally thank Fairwinds Assisted Living in Idaho Falls and Solace Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided Clarence in the last year.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 2, 2024 at 10:00 Am in the Cedar Fort LDS Chapel 185 East Center Street, Cedar Fort, Utah. Family and friends may call Friday March 1, 2024 from 6-8:00 PM at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street Lehi, Utah from 9:00-10:00 AM prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Interment will be at the Cedar Fort Cemetery.
