Connie Louise Collins-Sexton passed away on 24 January 2021 in her Provo, Utah home surrounded by family members that she loved dearly. Connie was born 30 November 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her parents were Raymond "Glen" Collins and Alice "Jeanette" McDaniels Collins. Connie attended schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was a graduate of the Will Rogers High School in 1975. Connie also attended Utah Tech. College, Orem, Utah and Tulsa Junior College, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Orel Glen Collins. Connie and Glen Sexton were married in Tulsa, Oklahoma on 30 April 1983. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah on 20 October 1984. They later divorced.
Connie is survived by her seven children, Andrea Robertson (Highlands Ranch, Colorado); Jonathan Sexton (Midvale, Utah); Christopher Sexton (Provo, Utah), Jess Shane Sexton (Littleton, Colorado); Amanda Sexton (Provo, Utah); Ashlee Parra (Las Vegas, Nevada); and Jesse Ray Sexton (Tulsa, Oklahoma). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many cousins.
Connie was employed as an assembly line worker with Teletronics (Orem, Utah), and Raytheon Company, (Tulsa Oklahoma); as a shuttle driver for Avis Rent-A-Car (Tulsa, Oklahoma) and as physical assistant to the disabled population by the State of Utah. She also volunteered for several years as a Family Advocate for the Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health.
When Connie's health was better, she enjoyed playing the piano in Relief Society. Connie also served as a Ward Missionary, Compassionate Service Leader, Primary Teacher, and other positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and traveling.
Graveside services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma at a later date.
