Corinne C. Baxter peacefully passed away, surrounded by family on December 31, 2024, in Layton Utah. Corinne was a mother, wife, daughter, grandma, aunt, sister, and friend to many and will be dearly missed.

Corinne was born on February 3, 1948, to Kenneth and Blanche Covington in Kanab, Utah. She grew up with 1 sister and 8 brothers in Lehi, Utah, and was a graduate of Lehi High School in 1966. She later graduated from Continental College of Beauty and worked as a cosmetologist. In 1969 she married Danny L. Baxter and was blessed with three children: Michael, Melinda, and Marcie. She was preceded in death by: Her parents Kenneth and Blanche Covington, and her brothers Kay and Dick Covington.

Corinne was an example to many. Being one of the older siblings, she helped raise her brothers and sister assuming many responsibilities in the home while growing up. Her quiet nature and wit would shine through at moments when it was needed the most. She was a woman of quiet strength and boundless patience, who found peace in her faith, gardening, cooking, quilting, craft projects, and reading. She made a beautiful, warm home where everyone knew they were welcome for a good meal and some good conversation. Her organization was second to none. She served in various church assignments throughout her life, graciously sharing her time and talents with others on various committees and in the Relief Society. Corinne was a loyal friend to many and would enjoy outings and trips with her friends and family during retirement. One of the highlights was a trip back east with friends to see the church history sites. She loved being a grandma to her 7 grandkids and with Grandma Corinne being difficult to say, her name quickly morphed into Grandma Green and it stuck.

Our Grandma Green will be deeply missed. She taught us through her peaceful example to listen before speaking, to be humble, to show grace, to enjoy the simple things in life, and most of all, to love others and make the most of any given situation. She was a source of unwavering support and unconditional love, creating a legacy of compassion that will endure in our hearts forever.

Services will be held on Jan 11: Viewing 10:30 am -12:00. Funeral 12:00. Cedar Hills West Stake Center, 4580 W Cedar Hills Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah. Internment to follow at Lehi Cemetery. Family Lunch provided by Cedar Hills 8th Ward Relief Society following the dedication of the grave.
