Danielle Ann
Draney
Sep 14, 1999 — Feb 4, 2022
Danielle Ann Draney passed away in West Sacramento, CA on Friday, February 4th, 2022. She is survived by her mother Leslie Lewis Draney, father Rodger Draney, brother Kaylon Draney, grandparents Gary and Rhea Lewis of Lehi, UT and Daniel and Maryanne Draney of American Fork, UT, and many other close family and friends.
Danielle was born on September 14, 1999 in American Fork, UT. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Oswego, IL. She graduated from Heritage High School in Brentwood, CA.
Danielle was in her final year at Sacramento State University and was scheduled to graduate this spring in Criminal Justice. She also worked as a barista at Starbucks and loved her job and customers. She was an active member of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and served in many leadership roles including VP of Recruitment and 2021 Panhellenic Executive Board President.
Danielle enjoyed traveling and loved going on adventures. Family meant everything to her, and she had a very close relationship with her mother. She enjoyed going on adventures with her father and helping him with projects; she was always daddy's little girl. She and her brother were very best friends, and they inspired each other's successes. Dani had such a fun and outgoing personality and a great sense of humor; always making us laugh with her "Daniellisms"!
Dani had so many hopes and dreams and couldn't wait for the future!
A special thanks to her sorority sisters for making her college experience amazing; she loved you! And special heart felt gratitude to her sorority sister (little) Kelly Lee for helping Danielle's family through this tough time. You will always be in our hearts.
Danielle was our life. She will be missed.
There will be a candlelight vigil on Wednesday, February 9, at 6:30 pm in the University Union Ballrooms to celebrate her life. Everyone is welcome.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 26, at 11:00 am at the Lehi City Cemetery in Lehi, Utah. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
