David Prather Crockett Jr., 88, passed away on November 11th, 2022, at his home in Eagle Mountain, Utah, surrounded by family. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Skyline Ridge Ward Chapel, 7241 North Ute Drive, Eagle Mountain. He will be laid to rest in the Pony Express Memorial Cemetery in Eagle Mountain.
Dave was born on November 26th, 1933 in Pocatello, Idaho. He was the first child of Jennie Ida Cutler and David Prather Crockett Sr.. As a child, Dave's family moved many times between Idaho and California. He graduated from Manteca High School.
After one year of college, Dave enlisted in the Army and served as a dental assistant in Hanau, Germany. When he returned to California, Dave earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at San Jose State University. He would go on to work as a chemist for over four decades.
On August 17th, 1957, Dave married the love of his life, Anna May Nott. Theirs is a love story for the ages. They had six children and raised them in Manteca, California. Dave and Ann moved to Eagle Mountain in 2021.
Dave often reminded his loved ones that life is good and all is well, and expressed his love continually. His loving kindness set an example for family and friends, near and far.
Dave was preceded in death by both of his parents, and his sister, Dorothy. He is survived by his wife, Ann, and his children Julie Clarke (Oren), Dave Crockett (Julie), Terri Hutchings (Chuck), Dineen Goodwin (Aaron), Gary Crockett, and Jen Womack (John), as well as 15 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers, Tom and Denny, his brother-in-law, Chuck Eitelgeorge, and sister-in-law, Debbie Miller.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Skyline Ridge Ward Chapel, 7241 North Ute Drive, Eagle Mountain, Utah. A family viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment will be held in the Pony Express Memorial Cemetery in Eagle Mountain with Military Honors.
