With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved David Patterson, who departed this life on June 24, 2025. David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend—someone who truly loved so deeply. His warm smile and kind presence made everyone feel welcome, whether you were family, a friend, or someone he had just met.

David had a deep passion for sports and loved watching games and talking stats with loved ones. He also enjoyed playing golf, cherishing the peace of the course and the company of those he played with. His love for life, laughter, and the people around him left a lasting impact on everyone he met. David had a genuine love for people. He never met a stranger—he could strike up a conversation with anyone, and before long, he'd be swapping stories, debating sports, or talking about the latest news. He was passionate about staying informed and sharing his thoughts with those around him.

Traveling was one of his greatest joys. Whether it was a big family road trip, a weekend getaway, or simply visiting new places to meet new faces, David found happiness in the adventure and the connections he made along the way. Above all, he loved his family. Talking about them, being with them, and cheering them on in every part of their lives brought him the most joy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Tami Patterson; daughters Stephanie Whitaker and Christy Bates; son Jack Patterson; and son-in-law Jesse Bates. He was a proud grandfather to twelve beloved grandchildren and two precious great-grandchildren. His legacy of love, kindness, and joy will continue to live on through each of them.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate David's life will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Wing Mortuary, located at 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah 84043. A viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m., with services starting at 12:00 p.m.

Following the service, a graveside service will take place at Camp Williams Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17800 S Redwood Rd, Lehi, UT 84045, at 2:00 p.m., where David will be laid to rest with honor.

All are invited to join the family for light refreshments and fellowship afterward at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7775 Woodhaven Boulevard, Eagle Mountain, UT 84005.
