David was born on April 13th, 1972 in Tachikawa Japan to Gary and Myrna Rogers. He was raised in Payson and West Valley, Utah and attended school at Cypress High School in Magna, Utah.
David had his first son Shavanaux Austin Rogers from a previous marriage in 1993 and later went on to marry Debra Rogers on July 28th, 1995. They had two children together; David Alexander Rogers in 1995, and Angelia Nicole Rogers in 1997. They were married for 25 years.
David was very proud of how hard he worked throughout his life. He boasted about how he would work any job he had to so he could support his family, at one point riding his bike all the way across Provo for minimum wage. He worked as a vacuum salesman, with the city of fun carnival, and other various jobs. He went on to start his career in 2003 as a truck driver for C.R. England hauling freight and training other drivers, and later worked for Savage Inc. where he hauled crude oil. He enjoyed traveling across the country and having his "office" as he called it, with him wherever he went. He drove professionally for 17 years and had achieved over 5 million safe miles on the road.
David had a passion for driving, and also had dreams of becoming a pilot one day. He enjoyed entertaining his family and friends with silly faces, magic tricks, jokes, and loved to tease his kids and grandchildren any chance he got. His hobbies included Taekwondo, skateboarding and playing basketball when he was younger. He loved riding his motorcycle, gaming on his computer, riding roller coasters with his kids and had planned to go skydiving one day. He also loved the Japanese culture. He always said he had an eye for art and grew up watching his dad paint and later encouraged his children's artistic abilities and talents including, digital art, painting, photography, and more. He loved spending time with his kids, always attempting to school them at whatever game he could, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He fought many demons throughout his life, but continued to try and work through them. The one thing he always did well was communicating and talking with his kids, and doing anything he could to help them be and do better.
