Dennis Ray Ewell

1961-2022

Dennis Ray Ewell was born June 5, 1961, in Lehi to Leland and Iva Dene Thomas Ewell. He passed away on March 8, 2022, in San Diego, California from cancer, with his family at his side. Dennis grew up and attended schools in Lehi.

Dennis worked in the carnival business as an operator and owner for over 40 years. He traveled extensively throughout the United States with his work. He loved what he did and was good at it. He loved to joke and tease his family and friends. Dennis was a born gambler and a dedicated football fan. He could be feisty, but always willing to give anybody a second chance at life and hired them when no one else would. More than anything else, Dennis was a wonderful father to his three children: Iven, Corbin, and daughter Jacielynn. He was proud of them and their accomplishments.

Dennis will be greatly missed by his kids, his family, friends and all who knew him. "If love alone could have saved him, he never would have died."

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Leland and Iva Dene, his brothers, Tony, Louis and brother-in-law Ryan.

He is survived by his children: Iven, Corbin, and Jacielynn, his brother Morris (Lee Ann), sisters: Judy, Brenda and Carol.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 25, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East where family and friends may share stories of Dennis. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.

No luncheon will be served, but anyone who wants to may join the family at a local restaurant (at their own expense) may do so.
