Nelson Webb
Jun 29, 1939 — Nov 20, 2021
Dixie Ruth Nelson Webb June 29.1939 – November 20, 2021
Our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, and friend passed away peacefully on November 20, 2021. After a valiant battle with many health problems. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Dixie was born to Rose Lee Haddenham Nelson, and Clifford Finlay Nelson on June 29, 1939 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Later the family moved to Payson, Utah where she attended high school. On a day trip to Lehi with a friend she met the love of her life Allen (Dutch) Webb. The happy couple were married February 6, 1957. They had five children, and chose Lehi as their final earthly home.
Dixie was born legally blind, but never let that stop her or hold her back. She was a homemaker, and loved spending time with her family camping, taking family trips, walking, riding bikes. She loved the outdoors and nature. She taught her children to love it as well. They were her pride and joy.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and collecting things. She taught her own children this as well as many others through the 4-H program. Winning many State Fair ribbons herself. Dixie also held and enjoyed many church callings including primary, young women's, and scouts which were some of her favorites. She loved going to the temple, and enjoyed working on Genealogy, she loved Operas, decorating her home for the holidays, as well as watching the sunrise and sunsets.
Sadly her husband Allen passed away from cancer on January 6, 1981. Leaving her with three children at home. Dixie's heart always belonged to Allen, and after almost 41 years their love story can continue. But sadly for us she leaves behind many family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Dixie is survived by three sons, and one daughter; Larry (Cheryl) Webb, Michael Webb, Ellen (Nick) Allred, and Russell Webb. Her two brothers Larry (Sonja) Nelson, and Gary (Acla) Nelson along with seventeen grand kids and ten great-grand kids.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Allen (Dutch) Webb, her daughter Linda (John) Day; her parents and step-parents Clifford Finlay (Melissa) Nelson, and Rose Lee Haddenham (Norman) Hackford; two brothers William Nelson and Clifford (Maurlene) Nelson and her sister Edith Loretta Nelson.
She was proceeded in death by many of her treasured family pets.
