Earl William Pilling passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on the morning of June 4, 2025. He was 84 years old.

Born on April 25, 1941 in Calgary, Alberta to Doral and Wyora Pilling, Earl lived a life of love, laughter, and devotion to his family, his church, and anyone he met on the street. He was a dedicated husband, father and disciple of Christ. Known best for his work ethic, quick wit, buffoonery, storytelling, and love of making each moment matter. His enthusiasm for life was contagious and his loyalty to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shaped his daily living and the service he continually gave. He was always anxiously engaged in a good cause.

Earl married his sweetheart, Myrna Ruth Pilling on June 26, 1971. Together they shared 54 years of marriage and raised seven astounding children: Nate (Deborah), Will (Martha), Kenny, Jason (Wendi), Heather (Emilio), Bruce (Stephanie), April (Joseph). He had 24 grandchildren who adored him, his antics and games, and the gift of throwing water. His life and legacy will live on through each one of these family members and his impact reaches far beyond.

Professionally, Earl graduated from BYU with a Bachelor's degree in French Education. While teaching, he discovered he enjoyed working with his hands during his free time and converted his passion into his company, Pilling's FRP.
