Elizabeth Elaine Morrill Wilkin, our beautiful sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on February 17, 2021 at her home in Lehi, Utah at the age of 80.

She was born on December 6, 1940 in Boulder, UT, the daughter of William Marshall and Hilda (Thompson) Whitener. The Whiteners are a tight knit family and have always had a close relationship with each other.

Elaine married Boyd Cannon Morrill in January of 1956 in Salt Lake City. Together they had six children who were her pride and joy. Boyd and Elaine were divorced in 1980. Elaine later married Nile George Wilkin of Lehi, UT . They spent 36 years together before Nile passed away in 2017. For many years Nile worked out-of-town on various construction projects and Elaine loved packing up their motorhome and traveling the country with him. Sometimes their travels would take them away for extended periods of time, but they always called Lehi home.

Elaine's great joy and the focus of her life was her large extensive family. She was always happily busy doing what needed to be done - cooking the meals, baking the best treats, and taking care of everyone. She never seemed to rest! Her door was always open and she loved having people over to her house to stop in for a visit and a cup of coffee. She loved family reunions and get-togethers of any kind and always welcomed anyone and everyone into her home. She was always the go-to person whenever you needed anything, always the one to laugh at your joke and also the one who would tell you like it is...with just a little sugar-coating. Being the creative person that she was, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and was always crafting or making something to give away to her family and friends. She never missed a birthday and was always ready for a game of cards. Whether it was a game of liverpool, spades or Uno with the grandkids, Elaine loved playing cards.

In the midst of all of her health struggles in her later years, she remained positive, had a ready smile, and used her sense of humor to make the best of what came at her. Her soul was brave, strong, forgiving and kind. She was the first to care for you and the first to believe in you. She was the true example of unconditional love and she will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her sisters: Mary Ellen Jacobs, Vadah (Larry) Conder, Dorthea (Chris) Miles, sister-in-law Verla Whitener and brother-in-law Dutch Turner; Her children: Gerald Morrill, David (Cari) Morrill, Rick Morrill, Gay Swarts, Troy (Tammy) Morrill; and stepchildren Scott (Gaylene) Wilkin and Kelly Brown. Elaine loved being a grandma and had a legacy of 42 grandkids,79 1/2 great-grandkids, and 8 great-great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Nile, daughter Cindy Lee Morrill, daughter-in-law Stacey Morrill, son-in-law Kirk Swarts; her two brothers Jim Whitener and Ave Whitener, brother-in-law Robert Jacobs; her sister Judy Turner and sister-in-law Linda Whitener; 3 grandkids and 1 great-grandson.

A viewing will be held at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, UT on Wednesday, February 24th, from 6 - 8 pm and Thursday, February 25th from 10 -11 am. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am on Thursday at Wing Mortuary. Interment will be held at the Lehi City Cemetery.
