Obituary

Erma Rae Holmstead Cawley, age 82 of Lehi, died December 10, 2021 in her home of metastatic breast cancer. She was born April 28, 1939 in American Fork, Utah, the only child of Victor and Erma Holmstead. She married Roger R Cawley August 14, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Erma Rae grew up near Utah Lake as her father was the superintendent of the Jordan River pumps. She enjoyed riding her donkey, Jack, and catching catfish for her family's fish fries. She was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 18 along with her mother and father. She graduated from Lehi High School in 1957, and soon met and married Roger R Cawley in 1959. She cared for their daughter and two sons at home. She was a loving grandmother and neighbor. She was often seen working in her yard, going for walks around Lehi, shopping for others, and pulling money out of her pockets for her grandkids. She loved the Lehi Rodeo celebrations and parades as she got to visit with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Roger R Cawley, daughter Raleen (Jeron) Woffinden, and two sons Mike (Crystal) Cawley and Bryan (Holly) Cawley. She is also loved and missed by her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 11am Saturday December 18, 2021 in the Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East.
