Obituary

Ethan Michael Raleigh, 23, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away on the evening of May 29th, 2026, in Provo Canyon.

Ethan was born in Orem, Utah, on August 7th, 2002. He grew up in Eagle Mountain, Utah, for much of his childhood alongside his siblings. Ethan loved his siblings fiercely and was quick to their defense in all situations. They had a bond that was truly unbreakable.

Ethan loved being with his siblings whether they were playing on the Wii, having fight nights or exploring the outdoors. He developed a giving heart and was quick to serve others from a young age, built on his devotion to his siblings and mother. Ethan had a deep love for his Mother and wanted to see her success and happiness. They had a beautiful relationship that transcends death.

Ethan had a special bond with his Grandfather Dennis (Papa) Raleigh. Papa called Ethan daily to talk about life's greatest joys. Ethan looked forward to these calls and often spoke about Papa. Ethan loved his Grandma Lahsha Welch and enjoyed calling her with his tales. Ethan spent a short time living with and caring for his Granny Deanna Raleigh in Oregon creating memories he truly treasured.

Ethan participated in many sports throughout his childhood. He found his place on the wrestling mat where he excelled both on the mat and socially. Ethan gained a sense of purpose on the mat that he carried into his adult life. He also gained lifelong friendships and brothers from wrestling. Ethan was incredibly intelligent and pursued knowledge in every avenue of life. He had infinite questions and needed answers to them all.

He attended Frontier Middle School where he met the love of his life Ashley Raleigh (Plott). He graduated from Rockwell High School along side her in May, 2020. Ethan moved to Oregon and spent time with his aunt and uncle after high-school where he found new meaning in life. He came back to Utah to focus on building his life with Ashley in 2023.

Ethan moved in with Ashley into her parents house and they lived there until October 2025. During this time Ethan worked at FedEx Office and developed wonderful relationships with his co-workers. He gained experience in welding and learned auto work from Aaron Plott. He began working with Aaron at Jordan Basin Sewer District and he of course developed many more friendships there, he loved his job and everyone loved him. He spent as much time as possible with his family and especially enjoyed being with his nieces.

Ethan and Ashley got married on September 9, 2024 and were just beginning to build their life together. The love they have for each other is immense and indescribable. Ethan and Ashley last lived together in West Jordan and had plans to purchase a home together in the near future, along with many plans of travel and adventure. Ethan was truly one of a kind. He left this world an undeniably loving and devoted husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend.

Ethan is survived by his perfect little wife Ashley Raleigh, his mother Branden Raleigh, his mom and dad Ginger and Aaron Plott his siblings Lance, Ananda, Britney, Jakob, Katie, Lizzie, Sabrina Raleigh, Sage Plott, his nieces  Zaire and Primrose, his nephew Malakai, his grandmothers Ruth, Joan, Mary, Lynn, his aunts and uncles Adriene, Allison, Dominique, Aaron, John and his cousins Emma,  Kristen, Corina, Caitlyn, Maddie, Cassie, Myranda, Nick, Taylor, Jon, Cole, Jasmine, and Piper. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Dennis, Deanna, Lahsha, his brother Gavin and his cousin Micah.
