Faifeau Ahotaeiloa was born May 29, 1973 in Pago Pago, American Samoa. After battling cancer for almost two years, he passed away July 30, 2020, at age 47 in Eagle Mountain, Utah, surrounded by his loved ones.

Faifeau was born the second of five children to Naumanuka Ahotaeiloa and Vaoese Tialino. He was raised in Samoa and Hawaii, moving to Utah at the age of 10.  Faifeau attended Kearns High School and later served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in San Jose, California.

Faifeau married Tiffany Knight in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS temple in 1996.  Faifeau and Tiffany have lived in Eagle Mountain, Utah since 2001 and are the parents of six children.  Faifeau worked for Airborne Express and DHL, and then Delta Airlines until he was no longer able to work due to his declining health.

Faifeau enjoyed fishing and golfing, and had a special place in his heart for coaching youth football and rugby.  He had a terrific sense of humor and loved teaching and influencing young people.  Faifeau was everyone's favorite uncle, teacher, coach, and best friend.  The most important thing in Faifeau's life was always his family.  He loved them more than anything and always made them his first priority.

He is survived by his wife, Tiffany (Knight), Eagle Mountain, UT; daughters: Maya, Adrien, Macy, and Alex of Eagle Mountain, UT; sons: Elder Jesse Ahotaeiloa (Eagle Mountain, UT MTC--Called to serve in Apia Samoa), Jonah of Eagle Mountain, UT;  father, Naumanuka Ahotaeiloa (Sharon) of Salt Lake City; siblings: Olive (David Shelledy) of South Jordan, Naumanuka Jr. (Malie) of Las Vegas, NV, and Paul (Natalie) of West Valley, as well as many nieces and nephews.   He is preceded in death by his brother Tavete and his mother Vaoese of Kearns, UT.

With the current conditions and safety concerns, memorial services will be different than traditionally done.  A public viewing will take place on August 5, 2020, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Wing Mortuary in Lehi, Utah.  The space is limited for long visits, and masks and social distancing are encouraged as much as possible.  A graveside service for family and close friends will be on August 6, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Pony Express Memorial Cemetery in Eagle Mountain, Utah.  Masks and social distancing are still encouraged, and chairs will not be provided.  This service will also be streamed on a live feed.  The link will be provided on social media.
