Francesco
Improta
Mar 19, 1956 — Nov 6, 2025
Francesco "Franco" Improta, known for his dedication to family and faith, passed away peacefully at home on November 6th, 2025, at the age of 69, surrounded by those he loved.
Born in Naples, Italy, to Giovanni Improta and Gaetana Romano, Franco moved to Venezuela with his mother at the age of three. His early life was shaped by watching his mother start over in a new country and successfully establish an Italian Elementary and Middle School. As a teenager, he developed a passion for martial arts.
At the age of 19, Franco's life trajectory changed as he searched and found the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. He went on to serve a full-time mission, profoundly touching hundreds of lives, and changing his own. He later married Zulay Pacheco in August of 1980, and the couple moved to Provo, Utah, where he pursued higher education at BYU, earning both Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
Franco's life was a testament to his faith and his devotion to his family and church. He created a welcoming home for family and friends, reached out to those in need, and inspired many. His enduring legacy is one of unity, bringing people closer to each other and to God.
He is survived by his beloved wife, three sons, and twelve grandchildren.
We invite family and friends to join us in honoring his life. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 10th, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
