Gayle Ann Williams was born January 1, 1957 in Maryland. After high school, she completed a Bachelors of Science in Sociology at the University of Utah. She returned to the east coast for three years, got married, and then returned to Salt Lake City in 1981.

She raised three daughters, and moved to Las Vegas in 1993. In 1998 she relocated to Hendersonville, North Carolina, where she pursued a degree in nursing. She then worked as a registered nurse in New Zealand and Australia, where she made many friends. In 2016, Gayle returned to Salt Lake to be closer to family and help raise her grandchildren. Unfortunately, she soon had to relocate to an assisted living facility to manage signs of early-onset dementia. The social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic was very hard on Gayle, and she succumbed to her illness July 15, 2022.
