Glenda Mary Woffinden Jensen, beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend, passed away, surrounded by her family, Saturday evening, January 22, 2022, in Lehi Utah.
She was born in Lehi on July 6, 1945, to Glen Martin & Lexia Mary Gilbert Woffinden. Glenda was the first of three children; she loved and admired each of her sisters and they shared a close bond. This is a characteristic that Glenda passed on to her children.
Glenda married Leonard L. Jensen on June 4, 1965, in Lehi. They began their married life in San Diego, California, where Leonard was assigned in the US Navy. After military service they moved back to Lehi where they started their family. Even though they divorced later in life, they remained friends.
Glenda has 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Glenda has many beloved nieces and nephews and enjoyed laughing with extended family members; creating a home where everyone is welcomed. She enjoyed spending time with friends and former classmates at monthly luncheons over the past several years.
As a single mom, Glenda worked at Pykettes in Lehi, and later as a lunch lady at the newly built Lehi Jr. High School. Following her youngest son, she transferred to Lehi High School, until his graduation. She continued her career at Lehi Elementary where she remained until her retirement.
Glenda loved sewing and gardening (flower and vegetable) and could often be seen on summer days mowing her yard and grooming her gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Lexia; her youngest sister, Janice; grandson Jared; and great grandson Graycen.
She is survived by: her children, Marcy, Kim, Teresa, Martin, and Kevin; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her sister, Margaret; numerous nieces and nephews; and many life time friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 31, 2022 at 11:00 am at Wing Mortuary 118 East Main Street Lehi, Utah. A viewing will be held One hour prior to the service. Interment Lehi City Cemetery. A live broadcast of the service will be found on Wing Mortuary's Facebook page.
