Grant Kay Hunsaker passed away peacefully in his sleep January 3, 2025, in Orem Utah.

Grant was born April 17, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Oscar Fitzallen Hunsaker and Sussanna "Susie" Mathison. He married his cherished wife, Frances Hunsaker, November 21, 1957, meeting in school at a the very young age of 18 (Frances) and 17 (Grant). Grant always joked he married an "older" woman. They were eventually married and sealed in the temple, spending 66 years together; they were rarely apart. Together they raised a family of four sons, Grant Jr., Jeff, Gordan and Tim, welcoming their wives, Keri (Jeff), Karrin (Gordan) and Daralyn (Tim), twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. He leaves a legacy of hardworking, kind, and loving sons, caring and patient daughter-in-laws, and their wonderful families.

Grant worked at Frank Edwards Parts as a warehouse manager for over 30 years. He was a hard worker and known for his work ethic. After retirement, he was as a crossing guard in Lehi. He loved the experience of being around and helping kids throughout their school year. Grant also loved attending the Lehi rodeo, watching old western movies, football and baseball and other sporting events. He never turned down the opportunity to attend a live game and eat a hotdog.

Grant spent his last few years, both with Frances and after she passed, at Covington Assisted Living Center. He loved the staff and had a deep connection with many of them. He was lucky to have such a caring group of people look out for him the past few years.

Grant is survived by his children, Jeff (Keri), Gordan (Karrin) and Tim (DaraLyn), seventeen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances, his son Grant Jr., his mother Susie, and father Oscar, his twelve brothers and sisters, and Sammy, his dog. No doubt there is a noisy and exciting reunion with all.

The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at Covington Lehi Assisted Living, Covington Orem Center, and Renew Hospice and Health for their excellent care and compassion. You all made his life better and more fulfilled.

The viewing will be held at the Lehi LDS church January 10, 2025, followed by the graveside service at the Lehi City Cemetery, addresses as follows:
