Obituary

Howard Jackson Bunch, age 85, died January 27, 2026 in Gilbert, AZ. Howard was born March 19, 1940 in Jacksonville, Florida; the son of Clarence Jackson Bunch and Frances Palmer (Cohen) Bunch. On March 2, 1962, in Jacksonville, Florida he married Saundra Ann Ford, the love of his life. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they raised five children: one son and four daughters.

Howard was a hardworking, loving and dedicated man. After graduating from high school, he joined the US Coast Guard and later the Navy Reserves which he served in for many years.  Career wise, he worked for GMAC for many years in different positions.  He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in January 1961. As a member of the church he served in many callings, including as a church service missionary with his wife.

Howard loved entertainment. Listening to music, watching movies, television, plays, sports and attending concerts brought much joy and happiness to his life. He also liked to travel and had the privilege of visiting many US states and other countries.

He was preceded in death by his wife Saundra in 2007. He is survived by his five children: daughters Gina Renee Hemingway, Erin Elizabeth (Thomas) Moss, Jennifer Charlene MacArthur, Heather Enjoli Bunch, and son, Joseph Abraham (Tanya) Bunch. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren: Jamie, Jaelynn, Jayden, Jessie, Haley, Joshua, Erika, Andre, Keri, Brandon, Lauren, Rebecca, Brian, Julia, Emily, Sarah, Penny, Nataly, Ensley Joy and Easton as well as 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11:00am at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main St, Lehi, UT. Prior to the funeral services, a viewing will be held starting at 10:00am. Interment will be at Lehi Cemetery.
