Ileen Curtis Green Colledge Barrett, of Lehi, passed peacefully in her sleep at Ashford Assisted Living Center on May 11th, 2025.

Ileen was born to Eldon and Eleanor (Dutson) Curtis on November 22nd, 1935, in Delta, Utah, where she lived for most of her childhood. At 14 years old, Ileen moved to Lehi to help her recently widowed sister with her newborn baby. There she met the love of her life, Allan LeRoy Green, and they got married on August 26th, 1952. In Lehi, over the years, they welcomed seven daughters and one son. She taught her children the love of flowers, the belief in fairies, the joy of reading books and the beauty of writing poetry.

After 30 years of marriage, Allan died suddenly and left Ileen to raise their youngest two children. Ileen later married Dean Colledge, and they were married for just a few short years before he passed away as well.

Ileen started the next chapter of her life when she met a new friend, Johnny Barrett. They were married on March 10th, 1990. They went on many adventures together, such as traveling, birdwatching, camping, and attending BYU games. After 13 years of marriage, their adventure ended when Johnny died of pancreatic cancer.

Ileen lived many more years as a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She made every holiday special, and for many years, her home was a gathering place for her large family. Ileen was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was also a long-time participant of the Thalian Club.

She is survived by seven children: Margie Green, Teresa Brunson, Peggy (Jim) Henrie, Philip (Barbara) Green, Wendy (Jeff) Shupe, Melinda (Nate) Sparrow, and Sally (Rick) Peterson. She is also survived by a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husbands and her daughter, Becky (David) Hutchison.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Ashford Assisted Living Center and her hospice team for caring for Ileen in the last several months of her life.

We invite friends and family to her viewing and funeral on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main Street, Lehi, Utah. The viewing will go from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m., and her funeral will start at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Lehi City Cemetery.
