Jacob "Jake"
Layne Fawcett
Jun 25, 1992 — Aug 25, 2021
Jacob "Jake" Layne Fawcett was born on June 25, 1992, in Provo, Utah to David Layne Fawcett and Patricia Jane Garren. Jake passed away peacefully on August 25, 2021, due to complications from Covid-19 and pneumonia.
Jake grew up in his early days in American Fork until the age of nine. He attended Greenwood Elementary. David and Jane moved then to Lehi in November of 2001 when Jake was in the 4th grade. He and his brother Josh finished the school year at Greenwood Elementary. Jake then attended school at Snow Springs Elementary, Willowcreek Middle School and graduated from Lehi High School in 2010. Growing up in Lehi was a great time for Jake. He enjoyed being with his friends, Blake Beddoes, Justin DeWitt, Tyler Glade and Keith Grover. Together these boys seemed to be always doing something with one or the other. Jake was an Eagle Scout and one of his biggest joys was working at Boy Scout Camp. Jake worked at Scofield Scout Camp and Tifie Scout Camp. It was at Tifie that Jake found the love for guns. He became a certified instructor for rifle and shotguns while working there.
Jake served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from December 2011 to December 2013 in the Mexico Monterrey East Mission. He served with honor and love for the people of Mexico. Jake was always quite and very humble. He touched numerous lives over the years. More than he ever knew.
