James Child Phillips, age 89, died October 10, 2024 at his home in Draper, Utah.  He was born October 6, 1935 in Lehi, Utah. A son of Robert Leonard Phillips and Blanche Olive Phillips.

He married Donna May Williams, in the Los Angeles California Temple on June 9, 1960.  James served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 2 1/2 years in the New Zealand Mission.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Draper, Utah, 2 daughters and 4 sons; Kimberley Bodhaine (Mark Bodhaine), Lehi, Utah, Heidi Stokes (Scot Stokes), Lehi, Utah, James Phillips (Kathy Phillips), Bountiful, Utah, Scot Phillips (Julie Phillips), Farmington, Utah, Jonathan Phillips (Amy Phillips), Star, Idaho, Stephan Phillips (Channy Phillips), Washington, Utah, 20 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Draper 8th Ward Chapel, 1911 East Grayfox Drive, Draper, Utah (next to the Draper Temple).  A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the service.  Interment will be held at 2:00 PM in the Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East, Lehi, Utah under the direction of Wing Mortuary.  Full military rites will be accorded by Hill Air Force Honor Guard and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
