Janice Knight peacefully passed away on February 25, 2022 in Lehi, Utah after living with Dementia since 2009. She always preferred being called Jan. She was born March 8, 1950 in Provo Utah and was raised by her parents, Myron LaVell Knight and Claire Swenson in Bountiful Utah.

There she attended Stoker Elementary, Bountiful Junior High, and Bountiful High School. In her teenage years she worked at a hamburger joint on 5th West and a grocery store on Orchard Drive. She later took some classes at Utah State University.

Jan was married to James Loyd Hubbard on April 6, 1970 to February 1988. They first lived in Fresno, California where they had two children (Jennifer and Jared). Jan and Jim were sealed in the Oakland Temple on May 1, 1971. After spending three years in Fresno they returned to Utah briefly living in Farmington and Bountiful before ending up in Midvale where two more kids were born (Jamie and Jesse). Jan was married to Louis Suarez from 1988 to 1996 and David Pacheco from 1997 to 2004.

Jan was a hard worker and very smart with her money. She was employed at E & J Manufacturing, Kmart, FHP, and Altius, but really came into her own as an activity coordinator at the Sarah Daft Retirement Home. She loved music and was a wonderful singer and dancer. It was rare to see her without a Diet Coke, and even before that a Tab. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had various callings throughout her life.

Jan is survived by a brother Steve (Sherrie) Knight, sister Connie (Steve) Diamond, and brother-in-law Joe Morzinski. Children Jenny (Lee) Wilstead, Jared (Steph) Hubbard, Jamie (Brett) Shipp, Jesse (Chelsea) Hubbard. 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, sister Sheri Morzinski, and brother Jim Knight.

For the last 7 years she lived at Abbington Manor Senior Living and at the Memory Care facility in Lehi. We thank them for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. March 3rd, 2022 at Wing Mortuary 118 East Main St, Lehi, Utah 84043. The viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Interment will be at Lehi City Cemetery 1525 North 600 East Lehi, Utah.
