Obituary

Jeani Huggard – age 70 – passed from this life to the next into the arms of her sweetheart on September 27, 2021. She was in her home of 42 years in American Fork, surrounded by family. She was welcomed to heaven by her husband Dennis, son Micah, brother David, and parents Glenn and Ruth Molyneux.

Jeani was born at Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, Utah on January 1, 1951. She was the oldest of four children born to Glenn and Ruth Molyneux. She grew up in Granger (Salt Lake) and developed lifelong friendships there, still going out to lunch just a few weeks before her health declined with her "Granger Gang" friends.

As a young adult while visiting her parents after they moved to Lehi, Jeani saw a handsome young man in the ward choir, Dennis Huggard, and wanted to be introduced. An eternal companionship was the result, spanning 44 years, and only temporarily put on hold by Dennis' untimely death in October 2015.

Jeani was dedicated to family, and her love was shown through delicious home-cooked meals, homemade clothing, and frugality. Although they didn't have much money, the family never felt "poor" thanks to Jeani's industry. They enjoyed fun Christmases and family vacations every year. She loved being a homemaker and everything that included: gardening, canning, food storage, and skills such as painting and sewing. Like pieces of the quilts she was so talented at putting together, she was an integral part of numerous people's lives: family, friends, and neighbors. She loved the Lord and loved service, most recently as a worker in the American Fork temple.

Her legacy will continue in the lives of her surviving siblings, Steven (Virginia) and Patti (Cole) and children Jacob (Joely), Rebekah (Mark), Sara (Michael), Anna (Jayson), and Miriam (Brent), and foster son of 9 years Harvey Lefthand, as well as 21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. After devoting her life to her family and valiantly serving the Lord, she finally had the opportunity to join her husband for the mission they did not get a chance to serve while here on earth.

A viewing will be held at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street in Lehi, Utah on Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral will be held at Jeani's church at 1305 North 100 East in American fork, Utah, on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 11:00 am (viewing at 10:00). Interment will be at Lehi City Cemetery.
