Jeremy Gene Schmidt Huddleston returned to his Heavenly home on the 8th of May 2021. Jeremy was born October 14th, 1969 in San Diego California. Jeremy's parents Diane and Pete picked him up three days later. Jeremy was the 2nd of seven children. Anthony was five years old when we got Jeremy. Jeremy is a part of a very large family who will miss him terribly. He is a son, a brother, and uncle, a friend and most of all a father. His passion was to be with his children. He loved to spend time doing things with them. He was a very active kind of guy, outdoors and indoors. He played with his children. They had scooters, went swimming, hiked, biking, and many other activities. He took his kids to every educational event that he could. He wanted them to be well rounded in every way. They were and are his life. He loved to serve and loved people. He had many friends.

Jeremy did all the normal things that children in the 1960's would do, cub scouts, violin, soccer, he loved being involved in everything. He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He did many solo's on won contests with his voice. Jeremy was a natural born artist and used it in many ways throughout his entire life. He was a very meticulous polished person, he was always well groomed even as a child. Jeremy was a ping pong ball on steroids. He tried to live two days in one and there was never a dull moment around Jeremy. It could be really fun or not. Jeremy had a troubled childhood. When he was 18 years old, he decided to move to California because he had a job that had been offered to him. So, he took his rattled trapped Volkswagen and all the money we could muster together and headed out west. Soon after he arrived in California, he met Linda Blum. They had a wonderful friendship and were soon married. He became Jeremy Gene Blum to try out a new identity. They started a business together and he worked various jobs in exclusive restaurants and country clubs. He was hobnobbing with the rich and famous. While living in California he sought out to find his biological parents. He found his father William Huddleston and his mother Marianne Schlothauer. He had three fraternal brothers, Adam, Andrew and Sage and a maternal sister Sarai. He also found and loved his father's parents. He had two families that truly loved him. This is how Jeremy became Jeremy Schmidt Huddleston.

The marriage with Linda did not last and he returned to Utah. On August 8th, 2002 Jeremy married Amber Christiansen in Lake Tahoe California. The couple moved to Florida. Caydin Sage and Chanel Tristan were born to them. Jeremy was a major caretaker from the time they were born. The couple both continued their education in Florida. Amber and Jeremy later divorced.

Jeremy worked several businesses using his art and creative design. His current job was Natures Smile. He used a 3d printer and made teeth for dentists. He was very good at this and loved working this job. His employer said, "He learned more in three months than most learn in a year." Jeremy was very happy with this new way to be creative. He was selected to travel with his boss for educational and teaching opportunities. Jeremy was always expressing his gratitude for being with such a great group of people at Nature's Smile in Orem.

Jeremy came back to the gospel because he wanted to baptize his own children. He took his conversion seriously. For the past three years Jeremy had a passion for the gospel. He has made new and lasting friendships with his leaders. Jeremy received the Melchizedek priesthood on October 30th, 2019. On the 6th of November 2019 Jeremy baptized both Chanel and Caydin. There were at least 70 people who celebrated with them. Jeremy confirmed them and was delighted to be able to do these ordinances for his children. The next Sunday Jeremy went to his bishop and asked to pass the sacrament, he wanted to have every experience because he had missed it in the past. He wanted his boy to see him pass the sacrament. He then began to bless the sacrament. For the next few weeks, he went to his ward and his children's ward would either bless or pass the sacrament. He pressed forward attending his meetings, doing family home evenings, blessing his children with his example.

On the 25th of March 2020, a miracle happened, Jeremy received his endowments in the Timpanogas temple. Because of covid only eight of our family members were able to attend the session. It was the last session held before all the temples closed. Because of Jeremy's live endowment we were able to do his nephew Jacob Broadbent's endowment. Jeremy was so full of light and we were all blessed. He pressed forward and attended a Book of Mormon institute class with his friends. He called up his friend Jay Hales three or four times a week early in the morning to read the Book of Mormon together. Jay was a scriptorian and had been his escort in the temple. Jay said, "Jeremy was determined to learn the names, the story lines and the doctrine, he asked many questions, he really dug into the scriptures and wanted to know every detail."

Thirteen months later the 8th of May 2021 he was taken from us in a car motorcycle accident. He was traveling in traffic on 400 N. State on his motorcycle with Chanel on the back. Chanel was thrown over 40 feet and was protected by the angels, she had only skinned knees. Jeremy was killed. He and Chanel were going to spend Saturday together. Jeremy is survived by Caydin Sage Huddleston and Chanel Tristin Huddleston, his parents Diane Schmidt of Lehi, Pete and Penny Schmidt of Cedar Hills where he was residing as the prodigal son who came home. His siblings Anthony and Paige Schmidt of Lehi, Stephanie and Greg Smith of Lehi, Cameron and Brittney Schmidt of Lehi, JaNeen and Jeff Gardner of Highland and Ammon and Susan Schmidt of Lehi. 43 Nieces and nephews, 13 grand nieces and nephews. Jeremy was planning to be married to Brandy Sills November 11th, 2021. Jeremy will be missed. Our family will be honoring him in a special way by digging his grave by hand in the Lehi Cemetery. We know he is busy preparing for the second coming of Christ by serving from the other side of the veil.

D&C 93:1 Verily, thus saith the Lord: It shall come to pass that every soul who forsaketh his sins and cometh unto me, and calleth on my name, and obey my voice, and keepeth my commandments, shall see my face and know that I am;

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 in the Cedar Hills 13th Ward Chapel,3950 West Cedar Hills Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah at 11:00 AM.  A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8:00 PM at the chapel and from 10:00 to 10:45 AM prior to the service at the chapel.  Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
