My dear, dear, sweet husband, Johnny, has passed from this world. As his wife, I am going to speak from my heart and try to express how I believe Johnny saw the world, but life is too brief, and time is too short, and my mind is too unadorned to be able to explain the person I knew for only 11 short years.

Johnny had a huge heart – the biggest and only heart that I've ever truly known. But even then, I didn't know everything coursing through Johnny's heart. Every day of his life, I saw him open up that huge heart to the people in this world around him. He would drop everything he was doing, if he got a phone call from someone he knew, regardless of who it was. He didn't hesitate to help with anything because he really cared about people – he loved, loved, loved people. He saw the world through strange, but gorgeous, gorgeous eyes. He saw things with his very own, unique eyes and tried to explain them to me, but sometimes to no avail.

His mind was so incredibly logical, that he loved to use analogies to paint a vivid picture of his mind's eye. How he was able to make sense of his wide, vast, understanding of humanity, I will never truly know. But I do know one thing. He lives on in my heart and the hearts of our two young girls. They will grow knowing that they had a dad who respected them up to the very, very end! They will remember all the times that their dad willingly chose to play with them on nearly every playground in Utah County, instead of choosing to sit on the benches on the sideline, like I oftentimes did because I had to rest.

He gave and gave and gave and gave and gave and gave and never stopped running long enough to really think of himself. The world seems a lot darker without him in it, but he has brought light inside countless human hearts, as he connected with them through words, music, and emotions. From the bottom of my seemingly small and insignificant heart, yet larger one, now that I have had the pleasure of knowing you in this life, I love you babe and always, always will!

(Johnny lives on through all of those who came in contact with him - all his many, many family members, and his co-workers, and his friends, and even his acquaintances. But there are a few of us who will hold him in a little different way in our hearts that no one else can quite understand. His sweet mother, Kathy, his strong father, Michael, his courageous brother, Mikey, his loyal brother, Aaron, his dynamic sister, Rachel, and his compassionate sister, Heather. And in a very special way, his imaginative daughter, Elika, his energetic daughter, Adelyn, and me, just me).

A public visitation will be held on Sunday December 20, 2020 from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, with social distancing requirements (masks, sanitize and washing of hands, maintaining 6 feet apart) The family will be having a private service (by invitation only) starting at 12:30PM  All are invited to participate in the 12:30 Funeral Service via live stream on Wing Mortuary's facebook page.
