Joseph J Powell

Joe Powell, age 44, passed away on August 31, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of adventure, laughter, and unbound generosity.

Joe entered the world on July 20, 1982, born in Pinesdale, Montana to his loving parents, Marlin and Tammy Powell. He attended Pines Academy for grades K–6 before continuing his schooling at Corvallis Schools for grades 7–10. A natural leader with a fierce work ethic, Joe later founded his own successful drywall company in Montana, eventually relocating and expanding his business to Utah.

While Joe built a proud career, his true wealth was measured by the life he lived outside of work. He was a genuine free spirit who lived life to the absolute max. Known for his undeniable charisma, infectious laugh, and fun-loving nature, Joe was always embarking on wild adventures that most people wouldn't even believe. Yet, for all his love of the thrill, Joe possessed a deeply compassionate heart. He was always the first to step up and help someone in need, carrying a special, lifelong soft spot for the underdog. Above all else, Joe loved sharing his life with his children, riding horses and traveling the world.

Joe's greatest joy will always be his family. He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Bentlee Jo; his handsome sons, Bode and Rone; his friend Kourtney, and his parents, Marlin and Tammy. He also leaves behind his fifteen beloved siblings: Josh, Maria, James, Jared, MaryAnn, Jeremy, Marissa, Tory, Jeff, Michelle, Ben, Kam, Lydia, Molly, and Maddie, alongside a large community of extended family and lifelong friends who will miss his vibrant light.
