Joshua Kenneth Boren, our beloved Son, Brother, Father, Husband and friend left us tragically on January 16, 2014. He was born on May 11, 1979.
As a child Josh was a sweet, loving child who had a wonderful imagination. He loved spending time outside playing with his brothers and sisters, he greatly enjoyed being a boy scout. In his early teen years he went to live with his grandparents Milton and Elaine Patterson where he enjoyed and excelled in sports such as football and wrestling, he graduated from Eureka High School in 1997. He had a great love for any outdoor activity including hunting, fishing, camping and hiking.
He met the love of his life Kelly in Ogden, Utah while attending Weber State University and working with troubled youth, their love continued to grow even after they got married on June 4th, 2005. On May 4th, 2006 they welcomed a son Joshua Jaden Boren, Josh was very excited to start a family and have a son. Their family grew by adding Haley Marie Boren on July 12th, 2008 and Josh was excited to have a daddy's little princess. Jaden and Haley where the light of his life and loved them with all of his heart.
He graduated the police academy in 2006, he was very excited to become a police officer and help people. He was hired to the Utah County Sheriff department as a Deputy Sheriff. Josh grew and quickly worked towards becoming a Swat member, he also worked as an animal control officer, and he eventually went to work for the Lindon Police Department.
Josh was good friend to everyone, he would be the first to help anyone who needed it. He loved to play tricks on people and make them laugh, he was just a joy to be around. Despite his big appearance and intimidating voice, Josh was nothing but a big teddy bear with a laugh that would bring a smile from ear to ear on anybody's face.
