Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Friend, Josie Ann Sterner Anderson, 78 died June 15, 2021.

After enduring chronic heart failure for the last few years, Josie Ann passed away on a quiet Tuesday afternoon in her own way, giving instructions to us all, under her own terms, in her new house.

She was born December 29, 1942 in Manti Utah to Joseph A Sterner and LaRue Larsen Sterner. Josie married Maurice Rees Anderson, also known as (ugly pup) the absolute love of her life on August 5, 1963 in Ely, Nevada. They were both the proud parents of their two children, Jayme and Craig.

Josie loved all animals and had several precious fur babies throughout her life. Always vowing never to get another dog or cat because of the heartfelt pain when she would lose one. But she always tried 'just one more time.' She was an accomplished seamstress, avid gardener,(lots of fruit & tomatoes were harvested) flower expert and perfectionist at everything she did.

She is survived by children, Craig Hoyt Anderson (Angela Lyn); grandchildren, Anthony Christopher Anderson (Charissa Shaye), Alex Daniel Anderson (Bobbi), Aspen Chandler Anderson; great-grandchildren, Asher Reid Anderson, Emery Jade Anderson, sister Lana Larsen and brother Gary Larsen.  Preceded in death by Parents, Husband Maurice, and Daughter Jayme.

A life 'party' will be held as she insisted on June 26th from 11:00 pm. to 1:00 pm. at the Millennial Falls Event Center, 12375 South 1300 East, Draper, UT 84020

Josie insisted on cremation and her ashes will be scattered along with husband and daughter when the time is right at her chosen spot.
