Judith Ann Jones - Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away at the age of 81 on October 23, 2021. She was born May 29, 1940, to Vander and Mildred Nelson of Cedar City, Utah. She grew up in Cedar City, graduating from Cedar High School. She attended Southern Utah State University. Judi met Glenn Flint Jones on a blind date set up by her good friend (Bobby) and his cousin (Don Flint), they were married later on March 25, 1960, later solemnized in the Manti temple.
She enjoyed quilting- providing quilts to all of her children and grandchildren. Mom and Dad loved their farms, they owned and worked farms in Bluffdale Utah, Rupert Idaho, Lehi, Filmore, and Levan, Utah. She would drive the truck during sugar beet harvest, dad would always say mom was his best driver, it didn't matter if it was a beet truck or the truck and trailer for bales of hay, she drove them all.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many positions, including young woman's president, relief society president. She loved music and served in many ways including the "Road Show" chairperson. She also served at the Missionary Training Center helping many missionaries. She found much joy serving as a temple worker for many years.
Judi later married Don Jones of Plymouth, Utah and moved to St. George, Utah and served in the St George Temple.
She is survived by her husband, Don Jones of St. George UT; and sons: Todd (Kim) Jones of Bakersfield, CA; Kirk (Lorrain) Jones of Oakley, UT; and Darin (Kellie) Jones of Lehi, UT; brother Scott (Kathy) Nelson of Cedar City; She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved her. Judi was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Jones and by her parents and sister Sharron Butters.
A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building located at 828 South Center Street Lehi, Utah at 11 am on Friday October 29, 2021. A viewing will be held prior to the memorial service at 9 am.
