Apr 4, 1943 — Nov 19, 2022
Judy Ann (Peterson) Armitstead, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend; at age 79 returned to our Father in Heaven on November 19, 2022 in Clinton, Utah. She was born on April 4, 1943 in Lehi, Utah to Bert Elton Peterson and Clara B Orton. She was the oldest of 4 children.
Judy graduated from Lehi High School in 1961. She married Eldon Harold Armitstead of Pleasant Grove, Utah on March 31, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple. She has three children:
Troy Eldon (Camille) Armitstead, Littleton, Colorado; Trent (Tonya) Armitstead, Layton, Utah; and Trevor (Katie) Armitstead, Roy, Utah. She has 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Judy moved with her husband Eldon from Lehi, Utah to Denver, Colorado in 1966 and they made it their home for 48 years. In 2014 they returned to Utah and have since resided in Clinton. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in a variety of callings throughout her life.
Judy was multi-talented in every aspect of her life. Her talents were used in different jobs from child day care to Post Office clerk, Target jewelry counter to hairdresser. It is best said that no matter where she worked, her greatest talent was listening to people and lifting their spirits. She loved and often was found doing flower arrangements for weddings and decorations for all types of events.
Judy's greatest joy was her family and many lifelong friends. She is survived by her loving husband Eldon, three sons Troy, Trent and Trevor, and her youngest brother Barry Peterson, Lehi Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lana Harmon, Lander Wyoming, and brother Robert Peterson, Lehi, Utah.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to the American Liver Foundation at www.liverfoundation.org
