Kay Bensen Boley returned home to his Heavenly Father on September 25, 2024. He passed away peacefully with his family closely gathered around him.

Kay was born on February 24, 1934, in American Fork, Utah, to Vern Chipman Boley and Anna Lucila Benson. Kay attended BYU for a brief moment and then joined the US Army and served in the Koran War. This is when Kay learned firsthand his love for his country. Kay attended Barber and Beauty school, where he met and married Carolyn (Shurtz) Boley Wilkes in 1957 and later divorced. Kay and Carolyn had four children: Ricky, Paul, Thomas, and Angela.

Kay later met Sandi Baumgartner Boley at a church dance. They were married in 1979 and later sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo Temple.

Kay served as President of the JCs and was actively involved in various organizations throughout his life. He also completed a part-time mission at Temple Square and worked at the Provo Temple. Kay had a passion for sharing the gospel with everyone. Additionally, he loved watching BYU football games and attended them whenever possible.

Kay enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons. His passion for hunting with them was so significant that when his daughter was born, he left shortly after her delivery, leaving her grandfather to take them home. Kay taught his children how to ride motorcycles, ski, play tennis, and other life skills. Teasing his family was a big part of his life, and he loved to do it.

Kay was an inventor and entrepreneur; he made and patented the fashion net. Kay owned and operated a hair business for his entire life. Kay became lifelong friends with his customers. In addition, Kay owned and operated a used car lot KaySan Motors with his son Paul.

Kay was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Anna Boley, two half-sisters, Lavern and Maxine and his wife Sandi.
A viewing will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 114 South 400 West Orem, Utah. The funeral service will proceed after at 12:00 p.m.
