Kenneth (Earl) Jeppson (91) of Riverton, Utah, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, July 31, 2020, surrounded by his family, after a brave and miraculous battle with cancer. Earl was born on December 12, 1928 in American Fork Utah to Jesse Edward and Izella (Boulter) Jeppson.

Earl spent the first four years of his life in American Fork and later moved to Magna Utah, where he spent the remainder of his childhood. Earl would tell everyone he met, how he saw the most beautiful cheerleader while he was playing football. He then asked her to a church dance. They courted from that moment on. Earl and Veloy were married for time and all eternity, in the Salt Lake Temple on September 15, 1948.

Earl loved to play football and basketball. He was on the football team for Cyprus High and Utah State University, where he received a scholarship. He then transferred to the University of Utah. Earl talked about how he would make the long journey home to Magna as often as possible to be near Veloy. Later in his life he coached his son's in little league football in Kearns. He loved to be able to play sports with his children. He even continued to play football and basketball with his grandchildren. He spent as much time playing basketball with his grandsons and whoever would join him at the Deseret Gym before it was torn down. He even continued to play after he was diagnosed with cancer and could out last his grandson's at the gym.

Earl and Veloy were blessed with 6 beautiful Children; Julie, Kenneth, Vernal, Steven, Nathan and Janeal. He loved his children deeply. He lived in Kearns for 18 years. He was known as Bishop Jeppson to the members of the Kearns 10th ward. He loved his ward members and considered them a second family. His friendship with them lasted his entire life. Earl then moved his family to Sandy Utah, Pigeon Forge Tennessee and later settled in Bluffdale Utah. Upon his retirement, he himself built his dream home at the age of 67, where he and his beloved wife retired to beautiful Larkspur, Colorado. As Veloy's health started to decline they decided to relocate to Riverton Utah, where he lived out the last years of his life, surrounded by family.

Earl worked at Kennecott for many years. He then started his own business in the heating and air industry. Earl loved to stay as busy and active as possible. He was very involved in politics due to his love of the Constitution. He was the Chairman for the American Party where he was known to be a champion of liberty. He traveled around the country and met with many political figures. He loved to share his adventures and faith in the church with his children and grandchildren.

Earl will forever be known for his amazing strength, his unconditional love, his desire to educate and his willingness to help and open his home to those in need. He will be greatly missed.

Earl is survived by his Children, Julie (Nevin) Graves, Vernal, Steven (Shelly), Nathan (Tami) and Janeal (Scott) Freeman. Earl was very proud of his legacy, he leaves behind 33 Grandchildren, 98 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren along with his sister-in-law Ila Jean Fotheringham.

Earl passed into the loving arms of his wife; Veloy, son; Kenneth Eugene (both of whom he has missed greatly since their passing), his parents; Jesse and Izella, siblings; Eugene, Laura (Clayton) Fox, Roy (Wahneta) and Floyd (Barbara) 5 great grandchildren; Cameron Birch, Alexis Parry, Launa Allred, Jayden Lindstrom and Jaine Allred

A viewing will be held on Sunday August 9, 2020 from 6 - 8 P.M at the Latter Day Saint Ward house on 270 West Harvest Hills Blvd, Saratoga Springs Utah

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 10, 2020 at 11 AM at the Latter Day Saint Ward house on 270 West Harvest Hills Blvd, Saratoga Springs Utah. Friends and family may call on Monday morning at 10 - 10:45 AM. Interment will be held at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. 500 North Main Street Pleasant Grove Utah.
