Kyle Mont Jacobs, 53 years old, of Layton, Utah passed away Sunday October 5, 2025 at his home of appendiceal goblet cell carcinoma.  Kyle was born July 14, 1972 in American Fork, Utah, the son of Gerald David and Mary Ann Featherstone Jacobs.  He was an independent broker initiating small business loans until the time of his death.

He attended E.M. Whitesides Elementary, Central Davis Jr. High, and Layton High School in Layton.  He loved school and did well in all his classes.  He was Student Body President his Senior year of high school, a sterling scholar, and consistently on the honor roll.

Kyle was involved with Little League baseball and played soccer.  He was active in Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.  After high school he attended BYU before serving in the Poland Warsaw mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1991-1993.  When he returned, he completed his BA degree from BYU in International Studies and graduated Cum Laude in 1996.

He loved his family, especially his 3 children.  Depeche Mode and Hans Zimmer's music were favorites as was his long "fanship" of the Philadelphia Eagles, who were kind enough to win the Super Bowl last year while Kyle battled cancer.  His kindness, patience, generosity, and humor will be missed.  He never said a bad word about anyone; nor did he complain about the struggles he was experiencing.

Kyle married Rhonda R. Beck June 14, 1997 in Salt Lake City, later divorced; and Mary Alexis (Molly) Sandberg March 23, 2002, later divorced.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Randall and sister Julie Ann.  He is survived by his children:  Dallin Kyle Jacobs, Alexis Hayley (Keaton) Hagen, and Ashton Kyle Jacobs; his parents:  Gerald David and Mary Ann Jacobs, his brother: Travis (Tiffany) Jacobs; sisters Shauna Eden, Erin (Greg) Orton, Rebecca (Faron) Taylor, and Marcia (Sean) Honea, and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held October 15, 2025 at the Wing Mortuary in Lehi, Utah.  Interment at the Provo City Cemetery.

We wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors at Huntsman Medical Center, the Nurse Practitioners with Huntsman at Home, and the staff at CNS Hospice Services for their consistently compassionate and professional care.  They made it possible for Kyle to be cared for and remain at home until his passing.
