"MOST AND FOREVER"

Kymber Lee Jasperson--also affectionately known as Kymmie, Kymmer, Mimmer, Mimi, and Bertha--passed away January 7, 2021 at the age of 49. A resident of Saratoga Springs, Utah, she died in Salt Lake City after a long and valiant battle with lupus and a host of other associated diseases. We trust that she is now dancing and laughing with loved ones since being called back to her heavenly home.

Kymber (Eyre) was born August 7, 1971 in Provo, Utah to Ray Dennis and Coleen Collyer Eyre. She was the second of six children. After living her first year in Springville, Utah, she moved to Van Nuys, California, then to Duxbury, Massachusetts. She started kindergarten in Parker, Colorado and first grade in Bellevue, Washington where her family lived with her grandparents for a time before moving to Sandy, Utah.

It is in Sandy that Kymber mastered the French horn (she was very proud to earn the first seat in the junior high orchestra) and where she honed her love of McDonald's French fries, horticulture, and interior design. It is also where she eventually learned to wear clothes in public. She mothered the neighborhood children and her younger sisters and was everyone's favorite babysitter. In high school, she was thrilled to begin studying child development and neonatology. She continued to live in Sandy until after she graduated from Alta High School in 1989.

After high school, she earned her Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting, the first in her family to earn a college degree. Her passion for medicine and her compassion for people made her well-suited for a career in nursing. She used her skills and education to work as the Director of the Osteoporosis Center at Intermountain LDS Hospital for a time, then combined her medical zeal with her gift for teaching to become a Medical Instructor at Provo College. She worked as the Medical Director and as an instructor at Stevens-Henager College until her health prevented further employment.

It was while working as an instructor at Provo College in 1997 that she met Joshua Dean Jasperson. She began dating this cowboy from Riverton shortly after his graduation from Provo College in the spring of 1999. With a moonlit dance, he swept her off her feet and "Amazed" her. He gave her her first kiss and became the love of her life. On November 11, 1999, they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they have loved each other "Completely" ever since.

Against all odds, and against some of her doctor's recommendations, on March 22, 2002, Kymber realized her lifelong dream of becoming a mother. Porter's miraculous birth was a testament to Kymber's selfless sacrifice and indomitable faith. Nothing has provided her with more joy or greater purpose than her role as a mother. She shared that same love with all of the children that she knew.

Kymber is survived by: her husband, Joshua Dean Jasperson and her son, Porter Dean Jasperson (Saratoga Springs, UT); her father, Ray Dennis Eyre, and step-mother, Alaine Eyre (Bluffdale, UT); her sisters, Tracie (Paul) Whitlock (Highland, UT), Meri (Patrick) Egan (Salt Lake City, UT), Mandy (Joseph) McConkie (Gilbert, AZ), and Sadie (Jason) Jefferies (Sandy, UT); adoring nieces and nephews, Aspen, Josh, Tyler, Jacob, Brenden, Addi, Zac, Ethan, Morgan, Ava, Sophie, Carter, Pace, and Redd; and her little Lukey who was a light in her life. She is predeceased by her brother, Jon Christian Eyre (7/3/75), and her mother, Coleen Collyer Eyre (5/9/2007).

All who know Kymber know that she loved fiercely, lived determinedly, and endured faithfully. She could be crude, crass, and irreverent in ways that made her real and relatable while simultaneously living and loving so purely that her mere presence invited others to aspire to something better. She faced unimaginable adversity with humor, grace, and faith in our Heavenly Father's plan and ultimately found peace and strength in submission to His will. She has left an indelible mark upon our hearts, and each of us blessed to know her looks forward to when we can be with her again.
Service Information

Funeral Services for Kymber will be held Saturday, January 16th.

A closed-casket gathering for family will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. MST at the Harvest Hills West Stake Center (2256 North Providence Drive, Saratoga Springs Utah, 84045). The family will then be invited to participate in her services, officiated by Bishop Nathan Lindsay, in the chapel at 11:00.
